My doctor has prescribed physical therapy. What do I do now?
To schedule an initial evaluation, simply call us at (214) 826-9567. You will be asked to provide your current insurance information, claim number if applicable, your referring physician’s name and phone number, and a contact phone number where you can be reached during the day.
What insurance is accepted at Star Rehabilitation?
We accept most major insurance plans, and will work with any insurance network to provide appropriate benefits.
What if I don’t have insurance or I have a high deductible?
Our staff will work with you to establish a reasonable and stress-free payment plan. A special plan is available for cash-paying patients.
What forms of payment are accepted at Star Rehabilitation?
We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
What can I expect on my first visit?
A physical therapist will do an initial evaluation and assessment of your current physical condition. An individually customized care plan will then be designed for you. After receiving a facility tour and meeting the staff, you’ll be given a t-shirt, helpful take-home information, and scheduled to begin your program when it is convenient for you.
How long will this take?
While exercise and therapy can seem inconvenient, remember that healing should be a top priority right now. Each person’s degree of injury is unique, as is the rate of healing. Our physical therapist will work with your referring physician to gauge your progress and assess the need for continued care.
What should I wear?
On your initial visit, please wear something comfortable. Sweat pants or shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes are preferred. If your doctor has prescribed aqua therapy, please bring your swimming suit, shorts and a t-shirt over your swimming suit, and an extra change of clothing. A towel will be provided for your use. |
